BORDER UPDATE: THE RETURN OF “LA PELUCA”
PORDER BATROL INTELLIGENCE DIVISION
STATUS: UNDER CONTROL
THREAT LEVEL: MODERATE WITH POSSIBLE FASHION-RELATED ESCALATION
The Sovereign Nation of Slowjamastan would like to officially inform all citizens, travelers, taco transporters, and lawful sandal wearers that notorious Croc smuggler known only as “La Peluca” has once again surfaced in an international counterfeit operation connected to illegal Crocs activity.
Many of you may remember La Peluca from the now-infamous 2023 incident where Porder Batrol agents intercepted multiple unauthorized Crocs entering Slowjamastan territory. The operation resulted in one of the largest Crocs seizures in national history and led to the arrest of several individuals suspected of operating within a highly coordinated underground sandal trafficking network.
At the time, authorities believed the operation had been dismantled.
Unfortunately… we were wrong.
Over the last several months, Porder Batrol Intelligence began receiving disturbing reports involving suspicious handbags resembling Crocs. Citizens described the bags as “rubbery,” “unnecessarily ventilated,” and “emotionally aggressive.”
Initial reports were dismissed as fashion mistakes.
However, everything changed during a covert undercover operation conducted personally by Chief Border Agent Mark Corona.
While operating under deep cover as a wedding DJ at a Southern California wedding reception, Chief Corona noticed something unusual near the dessert table. According to official reports, a wedding coordinator was carrying a black handbag with unmistakable Crocs-like characteristics.
The bag featured:
- suspicious rubber texture
- unauthorized circular ventilation holes
- questionable design decisions
- an overall lack of respect for public decency
Chief Corona immediately initiated conversational surveillance.
When casually asked where the bag had been purchased, the coordinator allegedly responded:
“Oh, I got it in the alley in Los Angeles.”
For those unfamiliar, “the alley” is a well-known Los Angeles weekend marketplace associated with counterfeit products, replica merchandise, suspicious designer handbags, and in this case… possible Crocs-related contraband.
That statement immediately triggered a Level Yellow Intelligence Alert inside Porder Batrol headquarters.
Within hours, investigators launched Operation Fake Foam.
Undercover agents were dispatched throughout Southern California. Surveillance teams monitored vendors, warehouses, suspicious fashion distributors, and several individuals wearing footwear that could only be described as “recklessly breathable.”
What investigators uncovered shocked the nation.
According to newly released intelligence documents, authorities believe La Peluca had been coordinating a prison-based manufacturing ring involving fake handbags designed to resemble Crocs products.
Sources indicate prisoners were allegedly being instructed to manufacture:
- Crocs-style purses
- Crocs-patterned accessories
- foam-based contraband bags
- suspicious rubber fashion items intended for illegal resale
The products were then allegedly distributed through underground vendor networks operating in Los Angeles alley markets.
Officials say the counterfeit operation was specifically designed to exploit unsuspecting civilians who believed they were purchasing “fashionable accessories” when in reality they were supporting dangerous Crocs-adjacent behavior.
“This was never just about footwear,” stated Chief Mark Corona during a late-night press conference outside Porder Batrol headquarters.
“This was about protecting our people from unlawful foam-based influence.”
Authorities say several shipments have since been intercepted, and multiple bags connected to the operation are now being held inside an undisclosed evidence facility somewhere near the Slowjamastan border.
Due to the disturbing appearance of several confiscated items, agents handling the evidence were reportedly required to wear protective gloves and emotionally supportive eyewear.
Fortunately, officials confirm the situation is now under control.
No additional fake Crocs bags have been detected crossing into Slowjamastan territory at this time, and intelligence sources believe La Peluca’s latest operation has been significantly disrupted.
However, authorities warn citizens to remain alert.
Porder Batrol is asking the public to immediately report any of the following:
- suspicious rubber handbags
- Crocs-shaped accessories
- unauthorized foam products
- unusually ventilated purses
- footwear-inspired fashion crimes
- anyone saying “they’re actually comfortable”
Citizens are also encouraged to review the original 2023 arrest footage involving La Peluca in order to better identify future threats connected to the operation.
Officials believe public awareness remains one of the strongest defenses against future Crocs-related incidents.
As always, the Porder Batrol remains committed to protecting the people, defending the borders, and preventing dangerous fashion-based activity from spreading throughout the sovereign nation.
If you witness suspicious conduct, report it immediately through the new REPORT A VIOLATION section now available at PorderBatrol.com.
Together, we remain vigilant.
Together, we remain foam-free.
